We are looking for a highly experienced Solution Architect – Telecom (BSS/OSS) to design and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions across complex telecom ecosystems. This role requires deep expertise in BSS/OSS domains, strong architecture capability, and the ability to drive end-to-end solutioning for enterprise telecom platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to CRM, Billing, Order Management, OSS integrations, and hands-on experience with microservices, middleware, and cloud-native platforms.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and drive end-to-end solution architecture across Telecom BSS/OSS systems aligned with business and IT strategy.
- Lead architecture design for BSS modules including CRM, Billing, Charging, Product Catalog, Order Management, and Revenue Management.
- Design OSS integration architecture covering Provisioning, Service Fulfillment, Inventory, and Network orchestration layers.
- Develop integration solutions using middleware platforms (Red Hat FUSE, OCP/OpenShift, API Gateways).
- Translate business requirements into scalable architecture designs (HLD, LLD).
- Conduct requirement analysis, gap analysis, and define transformation or migration scopes.
- Lead technical workshops, client discussions, and solution presentations.
- Support pre-sales activities, including RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, effort estimation, and POCs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on microservices architecture using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Ensure seamless integration between BSS, OSS, and third-party systems using APIs, ESB, and event-driven architectures.
- Provide architectural governance throughout delivery ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and integration challenges with mitigation strategies.
- Mentor technical teams and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing.
Job Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
Experience Requirements
- 10–12 years of experience in Telecom IT with strong focus on BSS/OSS solution architecture.
- Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale telecom systems and transformation programs.
Required Technical Skills
Telecom Domain Expertise
- Strong expertise in BSS systems: CRM, Billing, Charging, Mediation, Product Catalog
- Strong expertise in OSS systems: Provisioning, Inventory, Service Fulfillment
Architecture & Integration
- Experience with middleware and integration platforms:
- Red Hat FUSE (ESB)
- OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
- API Gateways
- Messaging systems (Kafka / ActiveMQ)
- Strong experience in SOA / Microservices Architecture (MSA) and event-driven systems
Backend & Development
- Hands-on experience with:
- Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate
- RESTful API design and integration
Tools & Delivery
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence
- Strong experience in requirement gathering, solution design, and estimation
Preferred Skills
- Experience in cloud-native architecture (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace)
- Exposure to telecom digital transformation or modernization programs
- Experience working with global telecom clients and multi-vendor environments
